Finance & Accounting Professional
With over 8 years in accounting and finance, and Python skills layered on top, I help businesses close their books accurately and understand what the numbers are actually telling them.
My background is in accounting and fund management — preparing final accounts, managing books, and keeping financial operations accurate and audit-ready. Over the past year I've added Python to that foundation, so I can go beyond reporting the numbers to analysing them: building models, automating repetitive reporting work, and surfacing the patterns a spreadsheet alone won't show.
I work with small businesses and finance teams who want their books handled properly and their data put to work, not just filed away.
Forecasts, budgets, and scenario models built to hold up under real business questions — not just formulas that work once.
Accurate books, reconciled accounts, and clear financial statements you can hand to an auditor or an investor without worry.
Turning raw transaction or expense data into a dashboard or report that answers a specific business question — not just a chart.
Led a full variance and control review of a company's August performance against budget: recalculated revenue, gross profit, EBITDA, cash-conversion and DSO variances, separated confirmed drivers from unverified assumptions, and corrected a cash-conversion metric that had been misstated as a percentage rather than a percentage-point change. Delivered a management-ready summary with a three-point action plan, named owners, and an evidence gate requiring customer-mix and receivables-ageing data before sign-off.
Built a Year 1 balance sheet extract and short-term liquidity assessment for a recyclables business, calculating current ratio, quick ratio, and working capital against standard benchmarks. The analysis confirmed a healthy liquidity position (current ratio 1.80, quick ratio 1.40, working capital of ₦8,000,000), supporting the company's short-term solvency case to stakeholders.
Authored a case study and engagement proposal for building and directing a 10-person finance function for a medical equipment import and distribution company. Covered the structure, reporting lines, and controls needed to support the business's financial management, reporting, and portfolio oversight as it scaled.
A Python tool that takes a company's raw financial statement line items across multiple years and automatically computes liquidity, profitability, efficiency, and leverage ratios — flagging each against standard SME benchmarks and charting the trend. Built to turn a manual ratio-analysis exercise (like the GreenCycle liquidity work above) into something repeatable and audit-ready. Sample run shown below on an illustrative retail company.
